General Conditions & Complaint Procedure for Contractual Arrangements with the SafePath Institute

General Conditions

  1. All information that is provided by the customers of SafePath Institute will be kept confidential.
  2. Cancellation procedures:
    1. a. In the event that trainings need to be cancelled beforehand by the customer, they may do so up to 2 months prior to the date of the training, in which case they will not be held responsible for any registration fees for the training. Any payments that have already been made for registration will be returned to them in full within 6 weeks.  However, customers will be responsible for paying in full any costs to SafePath Solutions that has already been incurred in connection with preparing the training (e.g., non-refundable deposits for hotel or conference rooms, preparation of training materials).
    2. b. The customer will be responsible for half (50%) of the cost of any registration fees and other costs of preparing a training that is cancelled by the customer within two months of the date of the training.
    3. c. SafePath Solutions reserves the right to cancel trainings with less than 12 enrolled participants up to two months prior to the date of the training, with no penalty to itself or the customers. Any registration fees that have already been paid will be returned to customers in the event of cancellation within 6 weeks.
    4. d. Supervision or coaching sessions need to be cancelled by customers no more than 48 hours prior to the date on which they are scheduled. The customer will be responsible for paying the full costs of sessions cancelled within less than 48 hours.
  3. All training and other course materials created by David Bernstein are the exclusive (intellectual) property of David Bernstein. David Bernstein reserves the exclusive right to distribute its material.  This material may not be used by, or transferred or sold to, any persons without written permission from David Bernstein.

Procedures for Handling Complaints

  1.  If you have a complaint about SafePath Institute, please report it immediately to us via info@safepath-solutions.com or through our complaints form.
  2. We will respond to your complaint within 2 weeks and try to complete the handling of your complaint within 6 weeks of receipt. If it appears that we cannot complete the handling of your complaint within 6 weeks, we will give you an indication of when you can expect a decisive response from us.
  3. Every complaint will be treated confidentially and recorded by us in a confidential register we keep for a period of 2 years. The result of our investigation into any complaints will also be kept in our confidential register.
  4. Complaints that do not fall under the jurisdiction of the ISST (e.g. on financial disputes), and cannot be resolved between SafePath Institute and other parties, we will refer them to an independent mediator chosen by mutual agreement in which the parties share the cost of handling mediation equally.
  5. If you wish to report a complaint to an independent party, you may do so by contacting the International Society for Schema Therapy. These can be submitted to the ISST through this link. This organization is not affiliated with the SafePath Institute.
  6. We accept the judgment of these independent parties as binding on the SafePath Institute and will act on it promptly.
